Hello my name is Jacqui!

I’m an artist based on the Isle of Man, creating original paintings inspired by nature, coastal scenes, animals, people and beautiful things.

I primarily work in gouache and acrylic, using colour and texture to capture atmosphere and feeling as much as subject matter.

I studied Illustration at the University of Plymouth, which helped develop my interest in storytelling through image-making and built the foundations of my current practice.

Alongside my painting work, I also run a small creative business on Etsy called ByJacquiStudio (formally FunkibyJacqui), where I design and sell handmade jewellery.

My artwork is always evolving, but it’s rooted in the same idea: noticing the beauty in the world around us.
